Gaming by Grace is a great community that was founded on October 31st, 2008. They have around 40 active members and are lead by TruthPastor.  GBG is a Christian based clan that describes themselves as “A dynamic and excited group of online gamers who desire to have a good time playing the games we play!” They were accepted as a member of the GGN in January 2012 and we are excited to have them here.

At the end of March Iron Fox was inducted in the GGN under the leadership of IFx DDay. They have been together for a little over 6 months since DDay left Tied The Leader to create a new community at what has come to be called Autumn Forge. They bring a great mix of competitive junkies striving for victory,and laid back gamers looking to have a good time. DDay is a game tournament guru who has hosted several tournaments and leagues and should bring more great events to the GGN.

The Good Game Network is excited to make official our affiliation with the Legion of Honor.

This induction is notable in that the LOH is the first Network Affiliate that we have met outside the Halo Nation. Their flare for modern military shooters will add to our momentum in other franchises. Much can be learned and shared between GGN clans and their newest partner. The LOH runs a tight ship full of great people who play everything worth playing right now. They have a thirst for worthy opponents and healthy competition. The decision to bring them into the fold was obvious.

The GGN is about shared leadership and shared action. LOH has some enthusiastic running their show. It will be great to have them around.

Black Ops Bedlam!

The Halo 1v1 will be finished…..Season 2 of the CoD League will be starting the next week.. It will be time to start getting psyched for Black Ops so we’re going to have a GGN Black Ops party on Saturday night, August 6th! Be sure to mark your calenders, grab some beer, log into the TTL Justin.tv site, and pop in your Black Ops disk. We will be streaming as many of the games as we can and we will be doing a LIVE chat for the entire tourney. The bracket will be updated in real time and we will crown a Champion the same night..What more could you want? Oh yeah, the winner is going to get a $75 Visa gift card and the runner up will get a $25 gift card

Description

• This is a free-for-all (FFA) tournament
• It is FREE and will be open to as many GGN clan members who wish to enter
  We would like to see a minimum of 64 participants.  After 64 participants, we will have a standy-by list and those on the standby will be included only if the total exceeds 96 total partipants (to have sufficient size games)
• Matches will pit anywhere from 6 to 10 individual gamers in games of CORE FFA DEATHMATCH
• Matches will consist of 2 FFA games and overall scores for both games will be combined.
• To advance in the tournament to the next round, you must place in the top 4 of your match
• In the event of a tie for the 4th place spot, the two gamers who tied will both advance.  The same for a 3-way tie and so on
• All games will be conducted on August 6th, 2011 between 7pm and 12am Eastern Time

Rules

• No glitching (common sense)
• Killstreaks: Anything goes
• Boosting another player will result in both players being removed from the tournament
• Matches will consist of 2 FFA games on separate maps.  Combined totals from both games will determine match result
• Games will be no-score limit, with a 10 minute time limit
• The standards of the GGN are to be adhered. While this is a competitive league it is still strictly for fun
  and the honor of representing the GGN and GGN allies
• You may register if you are a GGN clan member, GGN ally, or clan authorized by TTL DDay

Organization and Staff

• In order to have this run as smoothly as possible, we would like to include a referee in each game who will remain a spectator.  The referee will be in charge of setting up matches, collecting and reporting results, and restarting a game due to lag or determining if rules of the tournament have been broken.  If you feel that you would prefer to help out as a referee, please contact TTL DDay.
• We would like to be able to stream some games.  If you have the equipment and know-how to stream Black Ops games as a spectator in a custom game, contact TTL DDay.  This position may also double as referee.

This offering of what-ifery spins out a potential eventuality that finds everyone’s favorite test subject still question for her piece of the dream.

New maps kick some fresh action into Halo: Reach. As the long hot summer leading up to anticipated autumnal releases of 2011, the original shelter and supply cradle of the Good Game Network remains a primary platform for tournament play and joint task forces sortied into Matchmaking.

In the end, our two host teams met on common ground to determine Status: Victor. As Gunslinger on Gunslinger violence is not celebrated within the ranks of our Clan, we will forgo a tactical analysis of the events. Lest this place go stale, we will simply archive the fanfare from the championship broadcast, and thank all who played.

As our merry caravan of competing clubhouses marches from game to game, events like this one are a great chance to take a census of who is still bringing gamers to the front lines. A good game is that much less valuable without worthy opponents.

Pick your perk, customize your class, and put on that fancy camo because it’s time to put your Call of Duty Black Ops skills to the test. Twice a week for the entire month of February Season One of the GGN CoD League will pit clan against clan in Team Deathmatch. Get your boots on and rally the troops!
